11/10: Improvised Rhizomes, a collective improvisation with cellist Jakob Kullberg and composer Krzysztof Wolek will be performed on Tuesday, November 9 during the University of Louisville New Music Festival. The piece will use musical material from Per Nrgrd's Fourth Cello Sonata as a spring board for improvisation.

11/10: Transitivo, a collaborative installation created by visual artist Mary Carothers and sound artists Krzysztof Wolek and John Ritz will be on display in Gallery X of the Hite Galleries in Schneider Hall at the University of Louisville. The piece is a memorial to the approximately 27,500 men who died while constructing the Panama Canal in the early 1900's, and is the outgrowth of a larger collaboration with Impacto Project. The installation will run from Tuesday, November 2 through Sunday, November 14, with an opening lecture and reception in Gallery X at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3.
