4/08: thought-forms, for piano and live electronics will be performed by Pei-I Wang on April 2 at the University of Louisville.

3/08: Nine Secrets, for chamber orchestra and adaptive digital signal processing will be premiered by the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, conducted by Lorraine Vaillancourt, on March 16 during the Biennale Musique en Scène in Lyon, France. Technology support will be provided by GRAME, the Centre National de Création Musicale.

3/08: I will participate in several composer forums and give an invited lecture at the University of Lyon, March 4, 6, 11, 13.

2/08: In the Very Eye of Night, for electroacoustic music will be performed on February 20 at the University of Louisville.

2/08: Dark River, for 5-string violin and live digital signal processing will be performed by violinist Yao-Tsu Lu on February 7 at the University of Illinois.

2/08: I will give an invited lecture to the Composers Forum at the University of Illinois on February 7. The topic of my presentation will be approaches to creating live interactions in sound.

1/08: The 21st Century Piano Commission Concert will be on January 17 in the Great Hall at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Several of my pieces will be performed on the concert, including The Last Wave for alto trombone and piano, Cesàro Summability for electroacoustic music, Carne Cruda Squarciata dal Suono di Sassofono for alto saxophone, piano and percussion, a well-devised trap for string quartet and live electronics, In the Very Eye of Night for electroacoustic music, and the premiere of the commissioned piece, thought-forms for piano and live electronics.

12/07: The commission from Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne is finished. Nine Secrets, for chamber orchestra and adaptive digital signal processing, will be premiered by Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne at the International Forum 2008 on March 16 in Lyon, France.

11/07: The 21st Century Piano Commission is finished. thought-forms, for piano and live electronics, will be premiered by Pei-I Wang at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on January 17 in Urbana, IL.

10/07: Commission from Mike Tunnell, Bruce Heim and Brett Shuster for brass trio (tr/hn/trb) and live electronic processing. The new piece will be premiered during the University of Louisville New Music Festival in Fall 2008.

09/07: Dark River, commissioned by Chia-Ying Hsu for 5-string violin and live digital signal processing, was premiered by Ms. Hsu at the 28th Annual San Diego New Music and Arts Festival.

06/07: Commission from Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne for 15 players and live electronics. The new piece will be premiered in Lyon, France in March 2008.

05/07: Declared winner of the Ninth Annual 21st Century Piano Commission Competition with pianist Pei-I Wang. The new piece will be premiered in January 2008.

03/07: a well-devised trap for string quartet and adaptive digital signal processing was performed at the 2007 SEAMUS National Conference.
